Notes For All Deliveries
To ensure your parcel is delivered safely we require a mobile phone number – This is to keep you updated on the progress of your parcel within the couriers network – We won’t use this for anything else or pass it on to any third parties (apart from our delivery partners) – We also require someone to be in to obtain a signature upon delivery.
If you are likely to be out we will happily deliver to an alternative address (e.g. your work address or to a neighbour – Please note this cannot be done on your first order with us due to the card fraud risk). We can also ask the courier to leave in a “Safe Place” specified by yourself (such as a porch or shed) but we must insist that this is entirely at your own risk. Our couriers are equipped with state of the art PDA machines that will take a picture at your property with GPS co-ordinates also recorded to prove that they were at your property if required – Your delivery instructions can be entered into the delivery notes section within the checkout process.
Other limitations may apply to deliveries such as the time taken to deliver to remote or difficult to reach areas – if you know that the area you live in is remote or requires a ferry etc to get to it please don’t use any of the next day services as these are simply not available.
Please note :- Due to restrictions placed upon us by our carriers we are not allowed to post aerosol cleaning products of any type to overseas addresses – Any items bought that fall into this category will be refunded to you when we process your order.
Standard 2-3 Day Delivery – From £6.00
Our standard delivery charge for footwear within the UK is from £6.00 (surcharges apply to remote &/or difficult to reach areas – see below). This is the same for however many pairs you choose to order. For any orders placed before 1:00pm we will endeavor to despatch the same day. If you place your order after this cut-off time then it will be despatched the next working day (Monday to Friday). This is subject to the goods being available at our Northampton warehouse to send immediately – If you are ordering items from either the “Sale Shoes” or “Bargain Bin” sections of the website there is every chance these will be located in our London store – this will result in a small delay in despatching your goods as we have to recall them to Northampton prior to sending them out with the delivery courier.
Surcharges apply to The Highlands & Islands of Scotland, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, Channel Islands & Isles of Scilly – The postage cost for your order is determined by the postcode you enter during the checkout process.
Next Day Delivery Options – From £10.00

There are several Next Day delivery options available dependent on your postcode.
Next Day (Anytime) £10.00
Next Day (Before Midday) £12.50
Next Day (Before 10:30am) £17.50
In order to facilitate a next day delivery you MUST have placed the order BEFORE the 1:00pm cut-off time. If you are depending on this delivery for ANY reason we urge you to Call Us where we can check our stock levels of your required Style / SKU and size to advise you more accurately. This will give you the chance to seek an alternative if your chosen item is not immediately available for dispatch. You can of course, still use any of these options at any time during the evening or weekend – Please just bear in mind that we only work office hours Monday to Friday so your order WILL NOT be processed until we return to work.
We are sorry but due to the quite frankly absurd costs – We cannot offer a Next Day service to Northern Ireland, The Highlands & Islands of Scotland, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, Channel Islands & Isles of Scilly at present.
Please note the limitations to all of these options :- All Next Day services don’t operate at all at the weekend – The weekend option is a premium service (where available – see below).

Saturday & Sunday delivery options are shown on the website – These are only available in the larger cities where the courier depots work 24/7 – If you require a Saturday or Sunday delivery we urge you to Call Us so that we can check if the depot serving your delivery area actually operates at the weekend.

If you are ordering over a Bank Holiday (irrespective of the service chosen) – the order will be processed & despatched on the Tuesday when we return to work for a Wednesday delivery – If you are in ANY doubt over the above limitations to the services offered – Please, Just Call Us for advice – We are here to help.

Overseas Delivery – Please refer to our table of rates below for overseas deliveries
The rates below are for the first pair of your order – International freight is based on the volumetric space taken up on a vessel (be it a plane or ship) so any subsequent pairs attract a £10.00 increase on the cost of freight due to the volume increasing – for example three pairs to Albania would be £45 (£25 for the initial pairs delivery and then two lots of £10 for the extra two pairs).
Please note all overseas orders will have their VAT deducted prior to checkout you will then become liable for your own country’s VAT & Import Duties when the goods are handled by your own Customs authorities upon entry into your own country.
Magnus Shoes Ltd are in the process of joining an iOSS scheme for European customers where you will pay VAT at the UK rate & we will pass this element of the transaction on to your relevant Country’s Government through this scheme – This is still under development though & will be updated at some point in the future when it becomes operational.

Returns & Exchanges
At Magnus we want your shoe buying experience to be as easy as possible, With that in mind if you find the shoes you have ordered are not suitable for any reason, You can return them to us within 14 (fourteen) days of receiving them. Please ensure they are unworn (please do try them on a carpeted surface) & in the original box that they were delivered in. We appreciate that purchases made in November & December could be for gift purposes – if these items need to be returned please refer to the “Festive shop opening hours / Mail order delivery times & Christmas gift returns deadline” page that we publish on the homepage from late November onwards annually for the designated latest returns date for that particular year.”
Return postage is the sole responsibility of the customer (we will pay for the second pair to come out to you if you are requesting an exchange for a different size in the same style – Please note UK mainland ONLY). Please send them back to us the most economical way to yourself & ensure you get proof of posting – All Post Offices will do this for a nominal charge. If you have misplaced the returns note that came with the shoes you can download another copy here. Please send your returns clearly marked to us at the address below.
Any items you may wish to return to us after the 14 (fourteen) day period has expired will be entirely at our discretion – Items that we do accept back & have subsequently gone into our sale will only be refunded at the new sale price.
Please note :- Shop purchases where you have had the opportunity to try on your new shoes & where you were happy enough to pay for them, will not be refunded – we offer an exchange or credit note if the goods are returned to the store you bought them from within 14 (fourteen) days – This goes far beyond your statutory rights where you are, in fact, entitled to nothing if you change your mind.
Returns & Exchanges Where Free UK Postage Offer Was Used
From time to time we offer (by way of a promotion) – Free UK Postage, Now as we all know there is no such thing as free postage & we pick up the bill for this. Therefore the below points are all applicable if you return any item purchased during one of these promotions for an exchange or refund.
1. If you subsequently return an item from one of these promotions for an exchange – we will charge you postage to send out the replacement item – we cannot pay for two lots of free postage on one transaction – Many customers find it easier to buy two sizes & return the one that you don’t need.
2. If you subsequently return an item from one of these promotions for a refund – we will deduct our standard postage rate of £6 from the refund.
3. If you subsequently return an item from a multi-pair order from one of these promotions for a refund & this refund puts your initial transaction below “the free delivery amount” threshold to facilitate the free postage offer – we will deduct our standard postage rate of £6 from the refund.
Faulty Returns
We do understand that from time to time your footwear may develop a fault – We will replace or refund any items that are received from us in a damaged condition within the first 31 (thirty one) days. After this period has passed we have several courses of action open to us to rectify your complaint – These will come in this order a) a repair by a cobbler if possible – we may ask you to use your local cobbler if possible to reduce the time you are without your shoes & to minimise postage costs both ways. b) an exchange of your item for a new pair. c) a refund of your purchase. In the first instance before incurring postage costs, please contact us (preferably by email with photographs of the problem) at info@magnusshoes.com
Any monies owed will be refunded back to the original debit/credit card used. Any cheque or postal orders will be refunded by cheque and refund confirmation receipts will be sent to you in the post if applicable.
